for Brainstorm Dial-up Account for Macintosh (not OS X)

This is a step-by-step walkthrough for configuring your computer to use your Brainstorm dial-up account. If you have any problems, call us at 247-1442 in Durango or 326-1010 in Farmington. We are open Monday thru Friday from 7am-10pm and Saturday thru Sunday from 9am-6pm.
Macintosh Dial-Up (not for OS X):
• Click on the Apple icon on the upper left hand corner.
• Click on Control Panels.
• Click on TCP/IP.
• Make sure that Connect via PPP and Configure Using PPP Server on the top.
• Enter the Name Server Addresses as follows:
• Type 66.118.220.50, then hit ‘return’ on your keyboard.
• Type 66.118.220.20.
• Enter the search domain as gobrainstorm.net.
• Close the window and save the changes.
Process A (for most computers):
• Click on the Apple icon on the upper left hand corner again.
• Click on Remote Access (it might be under Control Panels).
• Type in your username (ex: username@gobrainstorm.net ) and password.
• If Durango is a local phone call for you, type 2471442. If Farmington is local, type 7162002. We have local dial-up numbers across the country; if you need a number for any other area, please look it up on our website or call technical support for the correct local number.
• You’re finished.
Process B (if Remote Access won’t allow you to enter a username or password):
• Click on the Apple on the upper-left hand corner.
• Click on the Internet Access folder near the bottom.
• Click on Internet Setup Assistant.
• Click on Yes.
• Click on Yes again.
• Click on the right-pointing arrow in the bottom right-hand corner.
• Type Brainstorm in the white rectangle for the name of the configuration.
• Make sure Modem is selected on the bottom.
• Click on the right-pointing arrow.
• Make sure the settings on this page look correct. If you’re unsure, please call us.
• Click on the right-pointing arrow.
• Leave the area code blank. If Durango is a local phone call for you, type 2471442. If Farmington is local, type 7162002. We have local dial-up numbers across the country; if you need a number for any other area, please look it up on our website or call technical support for the correct local number.
• Type in your username (ex: username@gobrainstorm.net ) and password.
• Click on the right-pointing arrow.
• Make sure that No is selected.
• Click on the right-pointing arrow.
• Make sure the No is selected.
• Click on the right-pointing arrow.
• The correct DNS numbers are 66.118.220.50 and 66.118.220.20. If the numbers are missing or incorrect, please enter them. The search domain is gobrainstorm.net.
