is a step-by-step walkthrough for configuring your computer to use your Brainstorm
dial-up account. If you have any problems call us at 247-1442 in Durango
or 326-1010 in Farmington
. We are open Monday thru Friday from 8am-10pm
and Saturday thru Sunday from 9am-6pm .
Macintosh
OS X Dial-Up Settings
•
Click on the blue Apple icon on the upper left hand corner.
•
Click on System Preferences
•
Click on the Network icon.
•
Make sure it says Configure using PPP
•
Enter the Domain Servers :
•
Type 66.118.220.50
, then hit return on your keyboard
•
Type 66.118.220.20and
•
Enter the search domain as gobrainstorm.net
•
Click on PPP up on the top.
•
In the service provider field type Brainstorm
•
Leave the area code blank and here is a list of Cities with there corresponding
dial-up numbers
Durango: 247-7798
Farmington:716-4042
Grand Junction:241-0044
Montrose:240-2794
•
In the account name field type your username (ex: username@gobrainstorm.net
)
•
In the password field type your password .
•
Click on Save on the bottom right-hand corner.
•
Click on the red circle on the upper left-hand corner.
•
YouÕre finished! Now, just open up Internet Explorer (the
blue E icon on the bottom of your screen) to surf the web.
Macintosh
OS X Email Settings:
•
Click on the Stamp icon with the eagle on it on the bottom
of your screen
•
Click on Mail up on the top
•
Click on Preferences
•
Click on Create Account
•
Make sure it says POP Account for the account type
•
Type your email address in the email address field (example:
email@gobrainstorm.net )
•
Type your name in the Full Name field
•
Type mail.gobrainstorm.net for the Host Name
•
For the User name field, type your email address except swap
out the @ with a %. For example: email%gobrainstorm.net, instead of email@gobrainstorm.net
.
•
Type mail.gobrainstorm.net for the SMTP host.
•
For the SMTP user type your email address except swap out
the @ with a %. For example: john%gobrainstorm.net instead of email@gobrainstorm.net

Type your password in the SMTP password .
•
Click on the OK button on the bottom right-hand corner.
•
Click on the red circle on the upper left hand corner.
•
YouÕre finished! You can check your email now.
