Log into your ActionTec DSL Modem by going to your Internet browser and typing in the following address: http://192.168.0.1 and pressing the Enter button on your keyboard.
This will take you to the main menu. Click on 'Setup/Configuration'.
On the Setup/Configuration page click on the 'Advanced Setup' link.
On the Setup/Configuration page click the 'Begin Advanced Setup' button.
On the Configuring Advanced Settings page click on the 'Wireless Settings' link.
On the Wireless Settings page, click the circle to turn on WEP. Then click 'Next'.
In the box next to "Key 1:" type in a 10 digit number with spaces after every 2nd number as shown below (the spaces are required). This will be your WEP key. We recommend using your 10 digit phone number for ease in remembering (e.g. - 97 02 47 12 34) Once you have entered your number click the 'Save and Restart' link.
Your DSL modem will now restart. Once it has completed the restart and all lights are stabilized and steady, go into your wireless connection manager and reconnect to "ACTIONTEC." You should be prompted for the key. Enter the key you just created (you may be required to enter it twice), and you should now be connected to your secure wireless network.
