0. Introduction

Using your Plesk (Email) control panel you have full control of all your email settings, including forwarding, mailbox, mail groups, and autoresponders. You can also change your password.  If you are a domain owner, you can also create email aliases.  (A typical use for a domain alias is you add the address "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." and/or "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." as a domain alias for your own address "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it."  You'll then receive messages directed to the email aliases into your own mailbox.)

 

I. Logging in to your Plesk Account

You can manage either a single email address or all of the emails in your domain using the Plesk Control Panel.  If you are managing a single email address your username is your email address (the full address including the "@" sign, like This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

If you have a domain hosted with us, like mydomain.com, you can manage all the emails at once by logging in using the same username and password you use to manage your website.  If you don't have this login or for some reason it doesn't work, please go to our Contact Us page and drop us a note using the form.  We'll send a Welcome Letter containing this information to the email address on the account.

II. Webmail. To access webmail, click on the WebMail icon (watch your browser, you must accept popups for this site), and enter your password again in the popup screen.

III. Spam Filter and Antivirus. There aren't any icons for spam filtering or antivirus in this control panel because we provide that functionality in our Roundcube ystem, which you can read about here. Barracuda provides a complete spam and antivirus filtering solution.

IV. Redirects and Mail Groups. By clicking on the Redirects icon you add simple forwarding to your email, so that a copy of each incoming message is forwarded to another address.  You can also use the Mail Groups icon which will allow you to forward emails to one or more recipients. (Be careful not to put the same forwarding address in both, or else you'll receive two copies!)

To add a forwarding address in a Mail Group, it will show you a list of all the possible members of your domain.  If you want to use one of these you can check the box, but if you want to send it to a different email address you can just type the name in the box at the top.

IMPORTANT! After doing a redirect or a mail group, you probably want to click on the Mailbox icon and UNCHECK it.  Otherwise copies of your forwarded emails will pile up.  If your mailbox gets full it will start bouncing emails (even though the forwarding will keep working).

V.Autoresponders(VacationMessages). You can create one or more autoresponders (vacation messages) by clicking on the Autoresponders icon. Then click Add New Autoresponder. Fill in the "Autoresponder Name" and "Reply to text" according to the picture below. (The other fields are optional and not needed.) Then click Finish. As a final step you MUST click Switch On in order to enable the autoresponder.
