This Brainstorm Tech Tip is sent as a service to all Brainstorm Internet customers to offer easy answers to common questions and to provide information that may be beneficial to help improve our customers' Internet experience. The following is an example of a question that we are frequently asked along with the helpful answer.

Dear Brainstorm, I have some changes to make on my account, but it seems that every time I think of calling you it's long after hours. Do you have a way for me to manage my account online even if I remember to do this at two o'clock in the morning? ….Margie in Farmington

Dear Margie: Absolutely, you can manage your Brainstorm account through our homepage any time you like. Just go to http://www.gobrainstorm.net and click on the 'Manage Your Account' link in the upper left which will take you to a login screen. Enter your username and password to get in. Most generally your username for this system is the first part of your email address (before the @ symbol) and your email password. (If you aren't sure what your login is just give us a call or send us an email asking us to call you back with your login information). Once you are logged in you can update your name, address, phone, manage email addresses, update your password or a number of other things. You can even see your account balance and make an online payment.

Speaking of passwords, have you ever wondered if your email password is considered secure? In the early days of the Internet many people intentionally chose simple, easy to remember passwords for convenience. In today's Internet environment it is a good idea to have a more secure password to keep prying eyes from reading your email, or worse, sending junk email from your email account. Here's a fun little game, click here to go to the Microsoft Password Checker site and see for yourself how your password rates. If you find that it is not as secure as you'd like you can make up a new one that is more secure and update it through your online account manager that we mentioned above.

We'd like to mention one other nice feature that you can take advantage of through your online account manager. Brainstorm offers AutoPay for all customers as an easy and convenient way to pay your monthly bill and save the monthly $2 Paper Billing Fee. Never write a check to Brainstorm again! Just like many other automatic payment options available with utilities, mortgage companies, banks, etc., you can have your monthly Brainstorm bill automatically paid each month without having to write a check, buy a stamp, call us on the phone or drive to our offices to drop off your payment. Activating AutoPay on your account is easy, just log into your online account manager as described above, click on the Credit Card Info link on the left, enter your credit card or debit card information and click the Update button. It's that easy! We'll still email you a statement each month confirming your balance paid and your balance at zero.

For more detailed step-by-step instructions on how to use the online Manage Your Account feature go to http://www.gobrainstorm.net/manageyouraccount.htm.

As always we thank you for choosing Brainstorm Internet! We appreciate you as our customer and invite you to stop by our offices anytime if you have a question or a problem, or if you just want to say hi to our friendly staff.
